The Heart Horse Project is a curated collection of the horses painted throughout the year, brought together in a timeless book featuring their portraits, photographs, and the stories that shaped the lives of those who loved them.

This book is a celebration of connection—the quiet moments, the hard-earned victories, and the horses who carried us through them all. If you feel called to have your horse included in the Heart Horse Book for 2026, we invite you to connect with Rachael to begin that conversation.

Participation in the Heart Horse Project is entirely optional and not required when commissioning a portrait. However, clients who choose to be part of the project will receive a complimentary copy of the completed book once it is published.

     

Originally envisioned as a 2024–2025 project, the Heart Horse Project was met with overwhelming interest and response. To honor the depth and care this book deserves, we are joyfully extending participation to 2025–2026 commissions until we have gathered the full collection of stories needed to complete the book—together.
