“The Matriarchs”

Beneath wide skies and weathered stone,
They stand with quiet grace,
Curled in coats the color of earth,
Time resting on each face.

They’ve carried more than seasons past,
More than the weight of rain—
They’ve carried bloodlines, breath, and birth,
And the future in their frame.

Soft eyes that hold a thousand days,
Of storm and sun and start,
Each mother rooted in the land,
Each calf held in her heart.

The herd moves on, the years do too,
But still these mamas stay—
The living proof of where we’ve been,
And all that’s on its way.

Coming Feb/March 2026: The Bull that built the bloodline.
